Global Test Methodology Engineer

For our site in Dendermonde, we are looking for a Global Test Methodology Engineer.

What will you do for us?

The Test Methodology Engineer is the subject matter expert for all aspects of electro-acoustical testing in different environments (EOL, T&V, R&D). He or she acts as the go to person for questions related to R&D and EOL Testing Measurement technology and industry specific T&V testing (e.g. Power Testing).

Key areas of accountability:

  • Participate in industry events, building a network in the EOL testing field (AES events, key suppliers, …) and regularly performing benchmarks of technology
  • Translate and negotiate customer requirements considering the standard defined PSS optimized EOL set-up (operations requirements).
  • Ensure that the right way of working is in place for specification management in the life cycle of the product from product development until mass production (test templates for the PSS product portfolio, clear evaluation and release criteria).
  • Developing proof of concepts (including concept-validation) in the fields of mechatronics, software tools, IT & data management.
  • Define and negotiate with the customer which data storage & sharing requirements are required to ensure compliance with the legal, internal and customer requirements.
  • Provide a framework to perform proper root cause analysis for acoustical issues (yield / slip through).

What will you bring to PSS?

  • Degree in Electro Acoustical(preferred), Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar industrial environment
  • Knowledge of:
    • Electro acoustical & magnetic measurements.
    • Industry standards on measurements of loudspeakers & applications.
    • Statistics & Minitab (incl. scripting)
    • Matlab / Simulink, Scilab or equivalent
  • Strong working experience with Klippel devices / measurement methods
  • Software development skills:
    • Generic microcontroller coding
    • 1 high level, general purpose programming language
  • Working with 365 Office tools
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
