For our Global Supply Chain Team in Dendermonde, we are looking for a Global master data Specialist.

 What will you do as a Global master data Specialist?

The general accountability of a global master data specialist is to make sure that all master data requests are processed in accordance with the service level agreement agreed between the global master data team and relevant global teams or plants. In essence, the global master data specialist processes tickets submitted on the central master data ticketing portal and processes the tickets assigned.

The global master data specialist ensures that the master data changes are in accordance with the PSS standards. In case the request deviates from these standards, a defined escalation path is followed. In relation to the approval, the global master data specialist updates the master data in PSS systems and makes a respective update to the ticket.

• Master data maintenance:

Data collection interface: establish and lead the development of interfaces for collecting material master data from relevant stakeholders, facilitating seamless data integration.

Lifecycle management & data cleansing: manage and maintain approved item master data in system (SAP and other) according to Lifecyle manage process. And work closely with data owners to perform data cleansing, manage lifecycle-related reporting, and address issues such as incorrect data entries, model carryovers, and transitions to service till end-of-life status.

Change management: Efficiently maintain item master data in accordance with change management procedures, while proactively engaging with change owners to process ad hoc changes and promptly communicate open change statuses to change management team.

Master data parameter changes: Expand and correctly maintain the full item master data, aligning with approved data from relevant data owners, the guidelines, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure data integrity and compliance.

• Master data accuracy:

Problem anticipation and resolution:  Act as the 1^st contact on plant master data issue, anticipate possible technical and system problems ad hoc such as proposing solutions and undertaking proper corrective actions related to item master data.

Collaboration and communication: Engage regularly with global and cross-functional teams involved in master data management, including golden book management and problem-solving initiatives.

Process optimization supporting: Supporting global master data owner to work with business data owners to prioritize material master data collection process and identify trends and opportunities to optimize data collection efficiency and quality.

 Data cleansing: work closely with data owners to perform data cleansing, manage lifecycle-related reporting, and address issues such as incorrect data entries, model carryovers, and transitions to service till end-of-life status.

Continuous improvement: Stay informed about upcoming SAP continuous improvement initiatives and be responsible for working closely with global master data owner on local material master data gap analysis, facilitate LBPO testing, and manage the mass upload of go-live data into SAP

What will you bring for PSS? 

• Bachelor’s degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in master data management, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment, and strong work time managing and can work efficiently Strong understanding of SAP systems and role in managing master data.
• Excellent cross functional communication skills to interact effectively with global teams and stakeholders, and fluent English is a must. Basic knowledge of Spanish is required.
• Pragmatic, proactive and solution driven team player in a global and multicultural organization.
